OHA Zero Suicide Program
Debra Darmata is the Adult Suicide Prevention Coordinator at Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and facilitated the development of the first Oregon Adult Suicide Intervention and Prevention Plan.
Prior to that she served as the Washington County Suicide Prevention Coordinator for over two years. She spent 11 years as the Operations Manager for the Student Wellness Alcohol Prevention Program at New Mexico State University where suicide prevention was a major component of her job duties, and she coordinated the development and management of a warm line.
Ms. Darmata was the Director of Rehabilitative Services for the state hospital in New Mexico. She is a trainer for ASIST and QPR. She
earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University - Chicago and spent years treating eating disorders and sexual trauma.
